Programs 4 Students

More than 10% of the alumni of our Creative Problem Solving courses have gone on to earn prestigious awards in mathematics and science in local, regional, national and international competitions. Most attend top colleges and many go on to earn Ph.D.’s in mathematics and other related fields.

Students must be nominated by their teachers in order to start their application process. Nearly 700 students apply each year but only 75 are chosen to participate. Three distinct classes are formed based upon grade level.

The Research program was started in 2007 but was forced to terminate in 2009 due to lack of funding. We are now fortunate to have sufficient funds to restart the program. The coordinator, Dr. Robert Gerver, is an experienced mathematics and research teacher. He has authored 20 books several dealing with techniques for teaching and learning the fundamentals of writing and presenting original papers.

We are now runnung a new program for students interested in taking the AMC exams. We prepare children for all 3 levels: the AMC 8, AMC 10, and the AMC 12 contests.
